Application Process for IHF Grants
The required application materials for consideration for a research grant award are outlined below. All materials must be compiled in one single PDF document and submitted to IHF’s Executive Director, Corinne Foote, at corinne.foote@ihfoundation.org.Â
- Cover page with the following information: name, current program degree and status, name of the affiliated school, visa/citizenship status, mailing address, email, and phone number
- Resume
- Official graduate transcripts (year-to-date). If you do not have 1-2 semesters of graduate coursework, please submit your official undergraduate transcripts.
- Written responses to the prompts included in the application are required*. As part of the application, students will choose one of the sample topics outlined in one of the following groups:
- Group #1 Healthcare Policy and Operations
- Group #2 Healthcare Regulation and Law
- Group #3 Healthcare Issues for Investigative Reporting.

- One sample paper that you have completed for your graduate degree program

Application Review
The Grant Selection Committee will review the student's application.
Students will be notified about next steps regarding their IHF grant application within one month of submission.
At the time of grant selection, the student will also be notified what topic they will research and who their grant preceptor will be.
